Privacy Policy

Summary

CamTestKit runs in your browser. Your camera video and images never leave your device — we do not upload, record or store them. We do not require an account and do not ask for personal information.

Camera access

When you start a test, your browser asks for permission to use the camera. Frames are processed in memory on your device to measure frame rate, resolution and latency, and to draw previews. Snapshots are created locally and saved only if you download them. You can revoke camera permission at any time in your browser’s site settings.

Information stored on your device

We use your browser’s local storage only to remember preferences:

• Color theme (dark, light or system).
• Pattern generator settings such as clock mode, watermark, HUD and refresh-rate override.
• That you acknowledged the photosensitivity warning (cleared when you close the tab).

This information stays in your browser and is never sent to us.

Server logs

Like any website, our hosting provider may process standard request data — such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested — to deliver the site, keep it secure and diagnose errors.

Advertising

We may show ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies at aboutads.info. Where required by law, we ask for your consent before personalized ads are shown.

Affiliate links

As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. When you follow a product link to Amazon, Amazon may set cookies to attribute the purchase. Their use of data is governed by Amazon’s privacy notice.

Children

CamTestKit is a general-audience tool and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes
